	1. Each page can be copied on color paper. 2. The children can write their own text or dictate their story to an adult or a “buddy” from an upper grade. 3. Use “Picture This” to reinforce high frequency vocabulary. 4. Picture This is a great addition to “Take Home Homework Bags”. 5. Use shadow cutting for those children who are learning how to use scissors. (Simplify the cutting lines) 6. Make a special cover for each book using collage materials. 7. Use the books at the beginning of the year and again at the end of the year to show writing progress. There is no limit on the number of copies you can make for Picture This. Share them with your friends. “Picture This” meets the following California State Standards 1.0 Students write words and brief sentences that are legible 1.1 Use letters and phonetically spelled words to write about experiences, stories, objects and events 1.2 Write consonant-vowel-consonant words 1.3 Write by moving from left to right and top to bottom. 1.4 Write uppercase and lowercase letters of the alphabet independently; attending to the form and proper spacing of the letters.
